I know this thread is a few years old, but the title shown (apart from the odd colouring, iffy camera I assume) is identical to that shown in badges on battle dress #2806 pp 539, 540, though dating and use is uncertain.

The title in question is a ww2 era paste back of proper construction and somewhat faded, as is common with the dyes used on these types. I would say it is an original period made example based on these factors.

The badge shown in my book Badges on Battle Dress is one I have owned for over fifty years and is identical with Jerry's posted example.

A short article in The Formation Sign published in May 2020 records the first sighting of what looks like the title being worn, its colours those authorised in January 1944 for the flash of the Palestine Regiment’s Jewish battalions.

The article notes that "No previous evidence of its use was recorded until the attached photo of soldiers - presumably on an official visit to Britain - chatting to a Church Army officer, surfaced recently.

Although not captioned it must have been taken after February 1944, the soldier on the left wearing four war service chevrons, at least three men having the Africa Star ribbon, the Pioneer Corps history recording some 4,400 Palestinians serving with the Corps in the Western Desert. The two men left and right wear a ‘Palestine’ title, its shading suggesting white on light blue, the right hand man wearing it with a printed ‘Pioneer Corps’ title introduced in 1943".

added a 2nd of these to my collection, which shows it came from the end? of a tied up bundle as was typical I believe for WWII period titles. as I scanned them you cannot see so clearly the imprint from whatever was used to tie them up.
