Bechuanaland Slouch Hat

This another slouch hat that was also picked up a while back along with the Tripolitania Slouch Hat.

It has a badge of the Bechuanaland Protectorate ( not a colony) on a South African made slouch hat with a red pagri. The liner indicates a date of 1961 ( independence attained in 1966). Not sure what the red pagri indicates.

Bechuanaland Slouch Hat

Bechuanaland Protectorate Polie ( B.P.P.) - Prior to Independance they used the Protectorate Arms,having no dedicated device of their own.
