1980's Nicholas Morigi Catalogues

I came across some Morigi catalogues whilst clearing the loft today. I haven't looked at them since perhaps the eighties, but they sure do make me want to weep. I'm assuming that Marsh made the badges for Morigi and the images perhaps compliment those in Luke Halls' albums of Marsh fakes. Here are a few sample pages - how many do you inadvertently have in your own collection..............??

There's a lot more if anyone is interested in what to avoid.

This is great Mark, thank you.

Could I ask a big favour and you email me some scans please.

I suspect he did his own line of some London Regt badges and others but also used Martin Marsh (majority pictured would appear to be MM). Indeed I reached out to him about 6 months ago. He appears to have retired and stepped back from the day to the day running of the business.

When my enquiry on the subject of repro London badges was passed to him his response was for me to contact Gladman & Norman as they had all the necessary tooling to make whatever I wanted. I replied clarifying that I was asking about repro dies he possibly created in the 60s/70s... never heard from him again.

However from his initial reply I think he answered my question and also inadvertently answered who made the dies for him.

Hi Luke
Thanks for the additional info.

I'll do some higher resolution scans (higher res than the Forum's limit) over the next couple of days - once I stop getting it in the neck over a lifetimes clutter in the loft - and get them off to you.

There are a few more pages of UK metal badges and cloth which I'll also post on the Forum for those interested.

Thanks very much Mark.

To put me out of my misery, am I right in thinking there’s a Paddington Rifles in the group which looks like the one attached?

All the best,

Luke

nothing really any good just a few eagles and some oversized skulls but he did buy quite a lot of medals and assault badges when a local dealer/maker died
