Victorian gilt and brass Yorkshire Dragoons buttons uniform question

2 Attachment(s)
Hello good people of the forum
I hope you are all well.
I have been going through my collection over this strange time, and ive come across a lot of buttons I'd forgotten I had.
They really are lovely items, such detail on such a small thing!
Anyway, I digress, the question I have is, I came across 2 Yorkshire Dragoons buttons, one gilt, one brass, from which uniform would these have been worn please?
As I thought white metal and silver were worn by this Regiment.
Your time and help are greatly appreciated.
Thank you

Chris

Is the brass one not originally gilded, it looks to be of officer quality?

Thanks for reply, I too have them in WM and silver.
I don't know if the button was originally gilded Leigh, it is a quality button though.
I hope someone can answer my question.

Hello
An apology to Leigh, I photographed the wrong buttons, both are officer gilt buttons, I was supposed to photograph the large gilt, and a small brass one I have.
Anyway a forum member has kindly answers my question, both are service dress buttons.
Thank you all anyway,
Stay safe

Chris
