WRAC officer's beret badge

Am trying to confirm what badge was worn on the beret by WRAC officers in the 1970s... I would have expected it to be a bullion version of the WRAC badge but I don't think I've ever seen one, so it may have been a silver and gilt metal badge? (and even that seems to be rare with QC) Or was A/A worn all ranks?

Any pointers would be most welcome.

Thanks

Michael

Michael,

Here are some examples of the bullion embroidered badge. The second is on a black background possibly for wear on the RTR black beret by a WRAC Assistant Adjutant.

Also the QC silver/gilt version NSN 8455-99-130-3676

The beret badge was embroidered. The s/g was worn on the No1 Dress cap.

WRAC Corporal Marguerite Wilson from Sheffield makes the final adjustments to Flash Spotting equipment before at the Proof and Experimental Establishment in Shoeburyness. She is about to observe the performance of shells fired during trials of different guns. According to the original caption: "Her trade is an Experimental Assistant in Gunnery, not only is she trained for making visual observations but also in computing and electronics. Behind her (left), can just be seen Corporal Dorothy Parrott.

A quick thread resurrection - the WRAC officer's bullion beret badge - was it worn on the beech brown "tear drop" backing and if so, was it worn on the backing from the time of the introduction of the beret? (I've seen photos of WRAC OR's wearing their green beret's GS Cap type predecessor without the brown backing).
Was the brown backing always worn on the beret and if so, was it worn by all ranks please?
