hi all
firstly sorry but i dont have pics off the rear do the badges look ok from the front? the cap badge has a slider, the collars have lugs. are they collars as they are being offered as arm badges? what period are these trade patches? are they WW1? also, im asuming these are British but would any of these have been worn by Australian troops? lots of questions so thanks in advance BC |
Re the cloth
The Crossed Vickers are unofficial Prize badges worn by MGC, there is also the 2nd prize with star above. The MG without wreath is for an Infantry Machine Gunner in a Territorial Battalion, as it has no wreath. As for the metal badges the pair of crossed Vickers look to have had the crowns snapped off?? Not worn as arm badge. These statements apply to the UK. regards |
Have never seen those crownless badges before. Even though the arm badge was supposed to be cloth, could they have been as such anyway?
