Small anodised lugged WRAF/RAF badges

Gents, can anyone identify the following for me. In both silver and gold anodised alluminium, the small RAF cap badge , I believe for WRAF personel, usually 'flat' backed to sew on. These however are fully lugged, east and west

Any ideas what they are for?

Cap

Pure guess, RAFP female cap?

Could be Bob. My knowledge of RAF kit/headwear is a bit limited.
But the silver one?

Definitely not RAFP female as they wore the anodised sew on cap badge before the cloth one was introduced for the hat band.

I know the RAF Pipebands sometimes wear the small WRAF badge as collars but no idea how they fix them on. (I'll do some diggindg).

My belief is that these were used by Pipe Bands as collar badges. Different bands used different badges, some used gold and others silver. I can find no other reason for their use.

Perfect resolution Dave.

Many thanks indeed. Ask and the forum will provide.
