I was born in BMH Rinteln and have collected thecsmall silver spoons to the town for years. I'm loving the Chepstow spoon.

For some reason decorated spoons were a popular prize for shooting competitions in the UK and elsewhere at NRA meetings from its inception in 1860 certainly through to WW2 and maybe even now?.

Concur with Simon's comments, also to add to the mix, a number of Rifle clubs were formed after the war with members from Regiments and indeed Home Guards which in some cases explains old regimental affiliations. Regards Mark
