Royal Observer Corps Badge

I found this badge in a box of old badges. Is has two pins to the reverse - is it a collar badge ? Can anyone give me a date for it ?

It appears to be from the centre of a bullion wire backing which was worn as a cap badge by Senior Officers of the ROC.

Absolutely - the shape of the scroll on the bottom is the give away from the front, and the fixings on the back should be blades (for the cap badge). The only collars ever officially issued were three letter ones 'ROC'.

That said, if you're interested in moving it on - I would be interested.
