Guyana Defence Force Correct?
 

Picked this up recently. It seems to be a genuine badge but is it a correct variant? Should it have red and green enamel? Under a loupe, there is no evidence of enamel residue or damage from having the enamel piggled out. It could just be unfinished, but it does look to have some service wear. Any comments gratefully recieved. Mike

I personally have never seen this badge without colour. I think it may be one that found it's way out surreptitiously. The wear to it seems very light,possible just handling, not service wear,Guyanese are not shall we say "gentle" with their issue.

Hi Clay. Thanks for reply. I was wondering Women's Army Corps or recruits possibly. But I'll hang on to it for now and see if anything ever comes to light. Mike
