Cap Badges Sultan Of Oman's Land Forces 1985
 

Attached is a photograph of the cap badges and shoulder titles of The Sultan of Oman's Land Forces 1985.

Points to note are:

1. The Sultan of Oman's Armoured Regiment used the standard SOLF cap badge. Shoulder title not in display

2. Force Transport Regiment used the SOLF shoulder title. Cap badge only in display

3. MSF did not use shoulder titles

No problem at all about counting!

A few years after 1985, HM The Sultan did away with separate badges and there was one SOLF badge: later SOLF was renamed Royal Army of Oman.

I believe this collection is unique outside Oman. There is another very similar (if not identical) collection which was on display in MOD Oman when I left in 1986.
