Can anyone please identify this cap badge?

Is it St Andrews UTC/OTC? Whichever fits the period.

Aberdeen University OTC may also fit that profile.

Hi, The Mauritius Volunteers has a similar scroll configuration but has a King's Crown.
Cheers, John

I would have said Glasgow University OTC.

I think so too.

Thank you for your help with the identification.

The badge has a very distinctive middle section on the scroll below the shield and I need to look closely at all the possibilities that I have been given.

I am pretty sure that this is an identical cap badge.

Army Educational Corps? It looks quite different to the other one, in the photos.

Phil2M 21-07-21 04:27 PM

I still think the first one is Aberdeen University OTC.

Phil,

I am convinced that they are not in the Army Educational Corps. They are wearing huge University O.T.C. type shoulder titles.

Just for interest , the 'crest' is above the door of the original OTC building .

Having seen this, I change my mind on the first picture.

I have now located the original photograph whilst looking for something else.

The lower half of the original photograph has faded but I have tidied it up the best that I can.

The Glasgow connection is confirmed by the photographer's name and address;

J.P. Couper. Glasgow.

Clearly a group of Officer Cadets.
