LONGHILL SCHOOL SUSSEX
 

A few weeks back I wrote to a school in Sussex called Longhill after I found out they had a CCF detachment to see if I could purchase a cap badge etc from them.
Today I received the 4 items shown from them FREE OF CHARGE:-
!/ Royal Sussex Regt wm/gm cap badge with M/M www.selcraft.com
(They are the only unit in Sussex to wear this badge.)
2/ A RSR officer badge (but not bullion)
3/ A Unit TRF
4/ A Major's epplette slide, in MTP with LONGHILL SCHOOL CCF.

Damn' decent of them - interesting to see the R Sussex badge with manufacturer's name.

It is a modern made badge by a company that can make badges etc on request I believe. Goggle www.selcraft.com for information.

This used to be a contingent of B.H.A.S.VI C. C.C.F, my old unit, and the successor to Brighton Grammar School O.T.C./ J.T.C./ C.C.F. until it closed.

That was certainly very decent of them. I understand some of the Longhill officers are the same ones from my time.

hello Pete, The detachment commander who sent me the items is a Maj Ali Pringle.
Unsure if this is a male or female officer??
