Guards strange fitting system
 
Hello! What do you think about this fitting system? It has not lugs neither slide...just two ears...

Looks like an OSD type cap badge with the blades cut short, though I am no aware if the GG used OSD badges? Maybe WWI if they did.

It identified the soldier occupying the Bed Space in a Barrack Room, use late Victorian era up to late 50's, some Depots retain the practice for longer than others :cool:
