Yes, but not to the same extent that you do. You have some nice stuff. About 80% of what I have is in one of my albums, I need to track down the rest and get some pictures done. Why to the question? David |
I'm after 1930/1940s King's Crown HKP badges :)
My grandfather was in the HK Police and was interneed in HK during WW2. Mick |
HKP Insignia
Prior to WW2 the Senior Officers of the HKP wore a silver Royal Cypher as their cap badge, the Inspectorate and Rank and File (all races) wore a simple Kings Crown in white metal. With the post war re-organisation of the Force and the re-establishment of civilian rule, 1.5.1946, a new badge was adopted, this contained the well known harbour scene, surmounted by the King's Crown, all in white metal and later (1969) to be replaced by a chrome and blue enamel version bearing the Queen's Crown and the " Royal " element.
Genuine versions of the Post War (King's Crown ) appear occasionally in dealers' catalogues and fetch up the GBP100.00,BEWARE many HK made reproductions. |
