Hi Gents,
This one is a bit of a mystery to me as I know the U.D.R were formed in 1970?
This appears to be an Officers cap badge and is 33mm tall. Anybody got any ideas?

Given the size and the fact it has lugs, a collar badge perhaps? unsure of which regiment though.

Collars look similar to the Liverpool Irish, but without the scroll.
