Royal Engineer buckle???

1 Attachment(s)
Hello, I have seen this belt & buckle which is described as Royal Engineer's 1948 era.
The picture is a bit unclear [not mine]
Can any RE buff or buckle expert id this as Royal Engineer please??
Thank you.

I've no idea exactly what this is, but the design is the Royal Artillery badge, king's crown above gun by the look of it, just very worn down?
Or is it crowned wheel with crossed lance's behind?
Could the design be specific to a particular RA battery?

Surely somebody's artillery?

Depending on the size it looks like a very polished Royal Regiment of Artillery large size BUTTON in a clasp of some sort.

At the risk of upsetting both the Gunners and the Sappers, who share the same motto "UBIQUE".

It is said that to one it means "everywhere" while to the other it means "all over the place".

Somebody made a soldier belt for their Teddy bear?
There doesn't look to be room for the locket to fasten / unfasten

Thanks for your replies. I am sure you are right by saying it is RA and not RE as it is advertised.
Thanks,
Jerry

I also concur that it could well be a large RA KC button. A look at the back of buckle would confirm or otherwise

I also concur with previous posts. It’s a button and some lucky kid may have a cute little piece of “Trench Art” for their Teddy Bear! Regards, D.J.
