Kenya Regiment

I have just acquired this Kenya Regiment badge which I think is an officer's cast brass one. I understand it was used from 1937 - 1939 and then again from 1950 during the MauMau operations. My question is are the two badges identical or is there a way of telling if it is a pre or post WW2 badge? Denis
