4th Armoured Brigade Divisional Patches

Dear forum,

For a number of years I have been planning to put together a Battledress Blouse to represent 2nd battalion Kings Royal Rifle corps.

I bought these patches as I thought they looked ok but would like a second opinion if anyone would be so kind?

Many thanks,

Hello,
Are the threads at the back synthetic ?

Hi,

I'm not sure. I set a loose thread on fire and it burned down extremely quickly?

Thanks,

Hi,

Does the the embroidery thread burn and produce ashes or just melt very quickly ?

The threads to my eye look to be cotton. Polyester tends to be thinner and not so cream colored.
To add to what was mentioned above regarding the burn test, if it smells like burnt hair and produces a tiny ash, it is natural fiber thread. Plastic based thread will leave a tiny black melted nob on the end and smell like burning plastic.
