SSY shoulder title

Hello,
Extracts from previous posts concerning this shoulder title:

"I suggest you will find the definitive answer in `The Territorial Artillery 1908-1988` by Norman E H Litchfield. Pub. 1992. The Sherwood Press (Nottingham) Ltd. Pp 229 et seq. Fig.303 shows the shoulder title in question and attributes it to the 144th Field Regt.

The accompanying uniform note on Pg. 233 advises "During the war the brass shoulder title SSY (Fig. 303) was worn on the khaki drill in the Middle East, whilst the embroidered title SURREY & SUSSEX/YEOMANRY QMR (See Surrey 1 Fig. 290) was worn on battledress together with the Sussex Yeomanry cap and collar badges (Figs. 304 & 305)"

The 144th Field Regiment, Royal Artillery (TA) were formed in 1939, placed in suspended animation in 1945, and reconstituted in 1947. They were the subject of amalgamations in 1950 and 1955."

"Although not illustrated, Ray Westlake in "Collecting Metal Shoulder Titles" on page 29 does say that SSY is to the 3rd/4th County of London Yeomanry (Sharpshooters)."

If anyone has Norman Litchfield's book I would be grateful for a picture of Fig.303 as mentioned above.

Thank you,
John

From the 2010 thread :

Quote:

The Surrey & Sussex Yeomanry were amalgamated from about 1922 to 1947 as a Royal Field Artillery unit. According to Westlake's Metal shoulder titles' the design for the combined unit's shoulder title was 'S&SxYeo'
Yet , I found an article which references Litchfield :

Quote:

In the Middle East they wore brass shoulder titles on khaki drill jackets, with 'S&Sx.Yeo' for 98th Field Rgt and 'SSY' for 144th Field Rgt.
