Group of unknown WW2 Australian Colour Patches

14 Attachment(s)
Hello All

The museum I work for has been given a large collection of WW2 Australian colour patches to display. I have identified the vast majority of the collection however there are still a small number that I haven't been able to identify positively. Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.

Regards

Dennis

They're mostly just unofficial colour patches, all appear genuine although I'd prefer to see the backs.

Line 1 - 7 Aust Div RAE, probably a colour variation; Catering Corps 3 Div, unofficial; AAMC First or Second Army, unofficial; don't know; don't know but very common, also comes with an extended leg on the T.
Line 2 - possibly a colour variation for HQ 26 Aust Inf Bde; possible Pay Corps attached to one of the Cav (Cdo) Regts; AASC(MT) NT L of C Area, authorised patch; unofficial patch, possibly worn by a member of 46 or 47 Aust Camp Hospital; 62 Aust Inf Bn, unofficial patch, I would have thought that by the time this bn arrived in NG it wouldn't have been under comd NG Force but quite a few of the battalion patches exist in this format.
Third line - Postal Unit, NG Force; 5 Aust Div AASC; manufacturer's error for 2/9 Aust Armd Regt; AAMC 9 Aust Div, authorised patch.

Thanks Keith, I appreciate the prompt response, always good to have these items correctly described when they are on display, Dennis
