the Northern Shan States is a lovely white metal cap badge with a pinfitting - first one I've seen

AP - I'm not sure. I thought it might be Assam Police, but that shuld be East Bengal and Assam Police.

Barry Renfrew thinks there is an 'I' within the alphabets and it is Andaman Islands Police .
But it is definitley and Indian Police badge - I have an exact one to the Bombay District Police - same kind of construction and same maker - initials at the back.
Would have loved to confirm this.

I've a fondness for all things Burmese and want to get all the BMP battalions but difficult to come by and not often cheap.
The Naga Hills MP made over 250 at bosleys this week. Quite a lot if you ask me!
