Indian electrical mechanical engineers IEME

Hey :)

Does anyone know why some of the ieme badges had the imperial crown and some had the normal crown on them from what I see the badges would only have been from 1943 to 1947 is that right ???

Thanks for any thoughts :)

Just a guess, but perhaps the 'normal crown' is post '47 and pre-Republic.

I don't think everyone went to the Lions of Ashoka to replace the crown at the same time. Many units were very eager to preserve their 'royal' ties, even after independence. Just a thought. :)

Frankly speaking, I have never thought about the Indian electricians, because I live in Chicago. Of course, I had some problems with the electricity at my house, but likely for me, these problems were solved by a local firm. They made their work very fast and relatively cheap. I think there isn't any sense in the economy of money in such cases when there is a talk about electricity at the house. You know, there are a lot of situations, when whole houses were burned, because of short circuits. I don't know if there are some specialists, like the Chicago electrical contractors but I want to recommend you to fix your problem ASAP
