De-mob Champagne

Can anyone shed some light on this please.

The postmistress at my local PO told me this morning that she had found an unopened bottle of Moet & Chandon with official de-mob champagne label on it in her mother's attic.

Any ideas on value that I can tell her and is it scarce?

It'll have a value ok. But it depends on who's buying it. Find the right collector and it could be worth a few quid.

I'll be honest and say that, until now, I'd never even heard of demob champagne.

Not heard of demob champagne either, though I have seen period bottles with 'reserved for allied forces' or similar on the label
