Does anyone have any ideas about the badge this lady is wearing on her shirt. Context is King George VI's visit to N Africa in June 1943.
Odds are that it's American, but it could also be British, Australian etc. There are no visible badges of rank, but the shoulders are hidden, so the rank may just not be visible.

She is described in a Pathe News bullitin as " An officer of the French Women's Youth Movement". (at 1 minute 17 seconds)

Yes , the commentary on the video says :
"The race course at Tunis becomes the focal point at an official reception , among the many personalities he received here are leaders of French resistance , an officer of the French Women's Youth Movement being among them "
