What cap badge did the Queen's Own Buffs, The Royal Kent Regiment wear with the attached collar badge 33 x 33 mm and during which period?

Formed 1961, cap badged as Home Counties Brigade, amalgamated in to the Queen's Regiment in 1966.

In 1972 I met a Major at St George's Barracks, Sutton Coldfield, I was surprised to see that he was wearing the cap badge of The Queen's Own West Kent Regiment, that regiment having amalgamated into The Queen's 6 years earlier.
It wasn't until years later I realised that he may have been in The Queens Own Buffs TA.
