At today's rate, C$1,484.84 and at that price this seller should have more on the BD what he has posted which in my opinion, nothing, no name no provenance = dubious.But, that's just me.

The nature of the patching on the tunic suggested that the original owner may have been Can Loan. A review of the Can Loan does not show any Canadian officers in the RA. Not conclusive, but it lessens one possibility.
There is a bit of a question about the RA and Canadian parachute wing. The officer would have to have been Canadian qualified and then seconded / transferred / exchanged with the Brits, and put in the airborne. Maybe, but highly unlikely. |
BD Tunic
Even though the BD Tunic is 1944 dated, its actual use may be from the immediate post-war period. This pattern of tunic was used until at least 1949 so there is the possibility of someone using a 1944 tunic in the post-war period. An interesting piece that is priced for the European market.
