R.P.L. uniform button

This R.P.L. button is on ebay occasionally, but never with a name.
It is white metal, 24 mm and has backmark Special Quality.
Does anyone know what it is?

Hello btns,
RPL button is quite a challenge.
"L" is probably the key, suggestions are Lancers, Legion, Legation, League, Line.
I thought it might be connected with the Polish Legion but they had a different pattern button.
