Canadian Artillery Question - "CANADA"

Gentlemen,
what would be the time frame/period of wear of the standard gun pattern badge with "CANADA" to the upper scroll?

Thanks in Advance

Andy

Are you asking about WWI or post-WWI/WWII badges?

For the latter, Mazeas has the "Canada" pattern with G.O. date 1923, then "Ubique", G.O. date 1927.

Charlton First World War Canadian Corps Badges shows both "Ubique" and "Canada" Imperial type badges for Royal Canadian Garrison Artillery.

David,
I am not sure hence the question, it is the standard patterm (same as RA) but with CANADA replacing UBIQUE wth a King's Crown!

Units of the Militia (Territorial) wore the badge with the CANADA scroll until 1935 when "Royal" was added to their designation. The Permanent Force (Regular) units had had the title "Royal" bestowed in 1893, although, judging from the illustrations in Mazeas, they did not have a UBIQUE badge before the First World War. Therefore an artillery badge with a CANADA scroll pre-dates 1935, and can not just be dated before 1923.
