Assistance on David Gross RAF service 43/44
 

Hi Chaps
I am doing a eulogy for an old friend.
I know he joined the RAF first and was then transfered to the RASC by about 1945, where he was then sent to India.
His name is David S Gross.
Is there any way of identifying when he may have joined the RAF and when he went to the RASC (and why)
He was born in 1926
So would have joined in about 44?
Any help is appreciated.

There is a David Stewart Gross, R.A.F., listed on Forces War Records. His service number is given as 3036145 and the date, 1943, is given as the date of the record. I do not have a FWR subscription, but the entry is usually an enlistment notification based on the date range that his service number was issued.
