I have recently been asked to frame the group as shown for a relative, the only information l have so far is he was at Dunkirk hence medal. Some members on this forum are fantastic at fleshing out service records and l would be very grateful for any information l can add to the label l will attach. His TEM is named to 4976757 pte G. Gumsley RAOC. Has no other campaign medals and hatbadge for Notts and Derby so was he wounded at Dunkirk and did not serve overseas again and transferred to corps or, was he in Notts and Derby and transferred to RAOC. Any information will be gratefully recieved

Hi Pembird, I've had a quick look but without much joy, obviously confirming birth etc, it's possible that because it's WW2 not a lot of records have been 'Opened' yet, others may have more success at Regimental level. Regards Mark

If you know the recipient has passed on and you can state when the death occurred you can request his service papers from the MOD under the Freedom of Information Act, a fee is payable.
