As I understand pointy ones are German, looped end British- unsure if that's hard fact though. Other sources might be outdoor fairs like Beltring or Detling- I bought 2 from Detling 20-25 years ago-£15 each back then. Reclamation yards near you might be worth trying. Regards, Paul.

I am guessing from the responses they’re the metal posts you put barbed wire through?

I think it is a metal rod to hold barbed wire with a cork screw at the bottom that goes into the ground.

The type with a cork screw spike is known as a "silent picket", as instead of being hammered into the ground as a straight one would be it is screwed into the ground.
