My understanding is that this is usually a two piece cap badge but one piece varieties do exist. Does this badge have the characteristics of an original and therefore be woth the trouble of sending it for repair? Or does it bear the hallmarks of a copy?

It does have sweat holes but then again the crown seems to be rather large.

Your thoughts please.

I for one like it, though that's not much of a recommendation. :)
Cheers Tony.

Thank you.

Looking at other examples which seem to have clearer definition I am not happy with the amount of flashing on the white metal parts. It may just be poor quality control but it may be the sign of a fake.

A nice badge that has lost it's slider, worth getting repaired IMO.

I have never seen one with the two parts joined like that, but I think it is a manufactures variation.
It looks like a good badge to me and worth repairing.

Thank you for your considered opinions. I know just the man who can repair it.

Coincidently, Endici has just listed a badge with similar attached crown in his ebay shop.

Here's mine I've had for years, it and the one at the start of the thread, looks OK to me.

I think the badge is good too regardless of the quality of the WM overlay on the grenade.

Your badge is absolutely spot on. I would be more than happy with it. I have one like this with a slider and another joined one with lugs.
I'm sure it would benefit from a trip to Dave.
John
