Both non void tails. Are they worth trying to clean up?. Regards Phil.

I would keep as they are-left one a bit unusual with the angle of the outer sweat holes. Regards, Paul.

Phil,
They are to badly coroded to attempt to restore to their original condition. they are in excellent condition for excavated badges though and I would also leave them just as they are. regards |
I agree leave as is.

Leicesters
Were they dug up together or from different locations?

Thank you Gents i will leave them as is.I found them on ebay listed under metalwork? saying they were detector finds along with a Nott's and Derby cap and one collar only a tenner, no brainer. Regards Phil.

Leave as is. Sometimes cleaned dug badges look worse

Nice "aged" Tigers Phil. The non-voided tails are a manufacturers variation. They don't have the first E flaw in Leicestershire from the early Gaunt die. If you wouldn't mind showing the Notts & Derby cap and collar it might help target the date of manufacture, cheers Dean.

will post N and D tomorrow. Phil.

I love the look of those two. Personally, I prefer 'conservation' to 'renovation'.
