Eton College Officers Training Corps Cap Badge

In white metal. An oval strap inscribed ‘Floreat Etona’* with a King’s or imperial crown above. In the centre the college arms depicting three lily flowers, fleur de lys and a lion passant.
The reverse of this example has two brass blades N-S.

The same badge in gilt (also with a king’s crown) is worn by the Eton College Combined Cadet Force. It has also allegedly been worn by Eton College Security c1990s?
The example below has two loops N-S.

Floreat Etona = ‘may Eton flourish’

Eton College Officers’ Training Corps formed 25th September 1908, and did have a Cadet Corps prior to this date. The strength recorded on the 1st April 1911 was 14 officers, 491 cadets. (Source: Hansard)
