Unit formed in 1910 from the separation of the post 1908 ‘Essex and Suffolk Cyclist Battalion’.
1/6th, 2/6th, 3/6th existed during the Great War, all remained in the UK. Re-organised as a Royal Garrison Artillery unit after the war.
