That is actually a button from the Fifth Mahratta Light Infantry, an old Indian Army regiment.

Hi Conrad, thanks for the correction. I’ve not seen a Mahratta LI button with the text ‘light Infantry’ on it. So what did the pre-1922 regiment, (1903-22) ‘The 5th Light Infantry’ button look like? [they were previous to 1903 the 5th Bengal (Light) Infantry]
