14th Army Formation Sign

14th Army formed in 1943 and was the largest army of the war, with a strength of over a million men. Served Burma, Malaya and India. Commanded by Field-Marshal Sir William Slim. Disbanded 31st December 1945.

This example printed on white linen, 66mm tall, 50mm wide. – A red shield, vertically in the centre, blade down, a sword. Horizontally across the centre, a wide black or dark blue band, with the roman numerals ‘XIV’ in white in the centre.
