Not really sure Tony,
It could be Rugeley Rangers/Rifle Volunteers. I think there is an article in a MHS bulletin showing their badges

Tony,

Very nice badge.

Paul,

I may be wrong but I don't think it is Rugeley Rangers, I will dig out the MHS bulletin with the article but I seem to remember that most of their insignia had a Staffordshire connection.

The article only shows later badges so it is possible that it is a badge of the 21st (Rugeley ) Rifle Volunteers.

I wonder if a certain man with a shop in Rugeley might know ?

I'm on the case Peter, there may be another article on the Rugeley Vols which I vaguely remember.

Well done Tony,

I love it when 'team' comes together on an unusual and interesting badge like this and are able to offer an identification - this is the forum at its best..

Well done all,

Cheerio,

Roy
