Default MCS Sleeve Badge - picture request

MCS 019.jpg

Bit of a long shot, but would anybody have an image of this badge being worn by a member of the MCS, or failing that, be able to tell me exactly where on the sleeve it was worn?

Was it on the left or right cuff, or left or right upper arm?

With thanks,

Peter.

Peter,

what a star you are, not only a MCS sleeve badge but an OR wearing a Guards Machine Gun Regt cap badge... and a cracking image too!

Many thanks

Andy

p.s. may I save a copy of your image please?

Andy,

I was so taken with the MCS badge that I shamefully neglected to even look at the other chaps .

Well spotted.

Ditto, John - may I also take a copy please?

Peter.

Default MCS Sleeve Badge

I can also confirm that the MCS badge was worn on the left cuff as a few years ago I was offered a First World War Petty Officers jacket complete with MCS badge in situ on left sleeve. I think there was also a cap as well. The seller only wanted about £90 for it. It was totally genuine and had belonged to his Great-Grandfather. I should have bitten his hand off but I was after something else at the time so didn't buy it. I have regretted my decision ever since! I'm sure we can all remember items that we didn't buy and wish we had. Oh well, it's all part of the fun of being a collector ...

Pete,

Thanks for this.

What a shame you didn't grab those items when you had the chance, but as you say, all part of the fun... not to mention heartbreak .

Default MCS photo

Thats a really nice photo, thanks for posting it John.

& the tunic confirmation as well Pete. Too bad you missed that one - "the one that got away {due to my shortsighted stupidity}" story!
We have all been there, done that!!!!!

May mentioned the MCS badge was "a silver badge worn on the cuff" but does not mention which cuff.

Nice to have the left cuff now confirmed,

Bryan
