Default NZ Fernleaf Pin Back Badge For Identification Please

As the title says, can anyone confirm:-
1) Is this Military or just a New Zealand pin badge?
2) if Military what is it please.

Measures 35mm wide x 20mm tall.

Will be up for disposal once identified.

TIA

Paul

Paul,

It looks to be silver or silver plated and I know that NZ nurses would wear such a pin. The one I have is 32 MM long.

I might be interested in it.

An identical one is on EBay at present with a photo showing it being worn in uniform by WW2 NZ Aircrew. Seller is asking £50.

Anyone interested at a tenner including UK post ?

Hi Paul,
This badge/brooch has been attributed to NZ nurses but was also allocated to travelling NZ sports teams including the All Blacks.
Cheers,
John

They were also heavily worn by NZ air force during WW2.

Paul, Never a worry. I do often lose out due to the 6 hour time difference. But, I am always just happy to have what I have and can get and never rue what I miss or can't have.
