Artists Rifles in a box
This box contained a bronze finish brooched Artists Rifles badge and an invoice from Silberman Brown Stationers in Seattle, Washington USA dated 23 August 1991. While obviously a fake, the buyer paid US$ 41.12 some 30 years ago.
Also of interest is that a similar badge was worn by Dianne Wiest (with Woody Allen) in the 1986 film 'Hannah and her sisters'. Tim

Hi Tim
I can't comment on the badge, but pretty sure that is Dianne Wiest in that film (which I haven't seen, but I know her as Aunt Jet in Practical Magic ). All the best Graham

Just as an aside, an Artists Rifles badge also features in the 1953 novel, 'The Long Goodbye' by Raymond Chandler and featuring the hard boiled detective Phillip Marlowe. The badge was worn by a woman he encounters who was given it by her chap just before he got himself killed in Norway in 1940.
