RNAS "Armoured Cars" Cap Badge
Hi All, with my interest in Rolls-Royce I have been after one of these badges for some time - I have heard copies exist, can anyone help with this one as to whether it may actually be a copy please.

May be of some use. It's not a cap but a collar badge. |

Unfortunately IMHO the badge you have posted is a copy/fake. The main things that stand out on the front are the thin RNAS lettering, the letter R is too close to the back of the turret and the background of the oval is too rough. The main thing I look for on the back is the positioning of the lugs, on copies the lugs are quite far apart (almost on the edges of the badge) but on the genuine badges you tend to find that they are almost directly above the wheels. I have attached pics of my badge which I believe to be correct. Paddy |

Has someone got lucky with the above badge or have I missed something? Regards, Paul. Last edited by wardog; 13-08-18 at 08:41 PM. |
