My thanks for all the replies to Jacob's question.
Jacob is my grandson and just starting on this hobby so such helpful replies will no doubt encourage him to become a well-informed younger member of our fraternity able to carry on our collecting interest into a new generation of collectors. He has already been given great support with his collecting from the members of the Military Heraldry Society who donated quite a few badges to his collection and has learned a great deal from Marc's (54Bty) book. It is very refreshing to see young newcomers with an interest in this field. It is a fantastic "Hobby" and one which I'm sure will both delight you and at times frustrate you. I'm sure you'll receive a great deal assistance from Forum Members. Introduce some of your friends to the Hobby...................but try not let them collect the same items as you.
