Default 1st Foot Shako Plate

Hi All
I have never seen or held a shako plate of this style before, so have no idea what to look for in an original. In my opinion this has the looks of a good badge but I'd appreciate any opinions. The lugs are brass rather than copper which I believe is a good sign and the badge is solidly made. It would take quite a lot of effort to bend it.
The odd thing is that the centre disc with the numeral '1' from the back looks like it may have been soldered in place as there is a ridge around the edge, though I'm not sure if that is the case. It would make sense to me to have a template for the wreath and crown with separate centres for these rather than a complete stamp for every line regiment, like the later HP's with removeable centres.
Appreciate any comments, thanks in advance.
Cheers,
Alex

Well, I'm no expert but the first thing to say is that it's not the Royal Scots, 1st of Foot. They had the garter replaced by a thistle wreath and a cypher in the centre.

Ooops that was the officer's plate.
