A prestigious award but very much deserved for a fantastic book.

I look forward to the insignia book whenever it may come to fruition.

I am most grateful for the generous comments from everyone - and to Peter for posting, it was kind of Peter to do so. Many thanks also go to John Rawlinson - I believe 1664 on here - for his help and encouragement with publishing The Commando Compendium and many other aspects of making this happen.

There are many folks on this forum who deserve recognition for their research and work - helping one another is our collective aim. The subjects of British and Commonwealth Military Badges being so vast, that we learn a lot through sharing. I never cease to be amazed by the breadth and depth of knowledge here ...

Again, many thanks everyone.
I would reply individually - but my computer is just back having almost become a write off - some salvaging to do, but mercifully my friends at Elite PC came to the rescue yet again ... so I have a basis to build on

Sincere thanks for your kind and generous comments
Mike

PS - Having attended the Dinner and AGM this year, I am more convinced than ever, that the Royal Marines Historical Society has a unique offering for Corps history - it represents sensational value for money - forthcoming projects will take it from strength to strength - thank you John R. Twin Richard and I really appreciate it.
