Unknown Makers Mark
Dear all,
attached is an officer's bronze Royal Artillery badge that I recently picked up in a job lot from South Africa. Interesting badge, even if the tangs have all been lost over time and with a spinning wheel in a slightly different metal, but the makers mark has me puzzled. I can clearly see 'London' on the right hand side but I can't seem to find it in the references. Any help would be very welcome. |

If I could punch myself in the face I would....
All I could see was ROAMALONDON It all seems so very obvious! |

Thanks fellas.
I feel like I should have asked what the badge was....would feel less stupid |

Not at all, I'd still be wondering what "Ramoan" or whatever was if I hadn't made out the letter "U", which rang Gaunt bells straight away.

Ditto
The mark in the male die has moved up in the strike of the badge..... hence the weird shape.
