Default Oman Plaques

I wonder if there might be any interest or comment on these items? They are two plaques, each about 13.5 cm in height.

They are each in a presentation box, bound in leather with an Omani Khunjar and crossed swords emblem embossed in gold on the hinged lid. One is green and one is red. on the inside of the silk-lined lid there is gold printed writing, to show they are manufactured by Garrard & Co, London and each plaque has a small paper sticker on the back to show similar info.

Each plaque is clearly solid silver and is hallmarked at the point of the Omani Khunjar knife.

I am informed they were originally presented to VIP and VVIP visitors.

Best regards to all.

William

Nice - you can of course date them from the hallmarks.

Pics of hallmarks on plaques...

Sorry I am not versed in hallmarks, so unable to say what these mean or what the dates are.

Best regards

William

Makers mark for Garrard & Co Ltd, lion for .925 pure or sterling silver, leopold's head for London and date letter for 1984.
