Default Home Front Cloth Insignia

Back in 2009 I produced for the Military Heraldry Society a Special Edition of its Journal covering the badges of the numerous uniformed organisations which served on the Home Front - from the Civil Defence Services to the Land Army, the River Emergency Service to the Civilian Technical Corps, the Fire Services to the Scouts and Guides.

I have now decided to reproduce a copy under my Island Fortress series, the 16 pages of which explain the role of the organisations and illustrate some 135 related badges. In addition a centre spread features some 100 Home Front armbands, now much sought after.

To try and establish a sensible print run would any member interested in a copy please PM me. The 16 full colour pages - samples attached - cost £10 inc UK postage - overseas post to be advised per destination.

Comments/questions welcome.

Jon
