Default Manchester Coat of Arms ?

Hi all,

Here we what I think is a WM Manchester heraldic coat of arms badge - 62x50mm. Is it a police badge (could be on a roll here), tram conductors badge but no sign of a bottom scroll having been attached or pouch badge to the Manchester Regt but think they used the fleur-de-lyse motif?

Any thoughts ? Busy bee.

Cheers Dean

Interesting that the lion is wearing a mural crown, not that I know the significance of that or the other variations such as the shape of the shield & the diagonal on the "globe" when compared to the old Manchester Regiment's badge.

Dean,

Its the lower part of a Manchester City Police helmet plate. There is a separate scroll reading "Manchester" which is positioned above the Arms. Not on a par with your previous find but still a nice badge!

Dave.
